Disciplinary Data Management Plans which can be used as examples
To facilitate the process of developing a DMP for researchers, it is useful to provide relevant examples of DMPs, taking into account the diversity of cultures and disciplinary practices. This is the objective of the working group established in March 2023 by RDA France, the French chapter of the Research Data Alliance (RDA). The working group is made up of experts recruited on a voluntary basis. Most of its members hold positions supporting researchers in sharing their data.
The corpus is composed of public DMPs selected by the group members. This first version includes 65 DMPs and 3 DMP templates. The methodology used by the working group is described in the report "Analyse et identification de Plans de Gestion de Données disciplinaires pouvant être utilisés comme exemple" ( in French). This first version of the dataset contains 4 files:
- 1 table containing the corpus of disciplinary DMPs
- 1 table which gives the distribution of DMPs by discipline
- a README in French
- a README in English.
The disciplinary fields of each DMP are identified using the terminology of the classification of research and development fields developed by the OECD in the Frascati Manual (2015) for disciplines, and the EuroSciVoc taxonomy managed by the Publications Office of the European Union for sub-disciplines. Keywords not present in these classifications may be added if necessary.
