Notre-Dame de Paris scientific project
The emblematic monument of French heritage studied from all angles
The Notre-Dame de Paris scientific project was set up following the fire on 15 April 2019.
Nine working groups covering a wide range of disciplines were formed to document, study and support the restoration of the cathedral.
Photographs, archaeometric data, 3D scans…: each team has generated new datasets that enrich the knowledge of the monument, its history, its construction and architecture, its materials or its uses. Gathered here in a unique collection, organized into specialized sub-collections, these data show the complementarity of approaches and the richness of scientific collaborations around Notre-Dame.
