Recherche Data Gouv Catalogue

Updated at: 01/07/2026

The Recherche Data Gouv catalog is a platform designed to centralize and facilitate access to datasets from French scientific research. It is part of the national initiative for open science and aims to promote the sharing, visibility, and reuse of research data in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

Its goal is to enhance the discoverability of French datasets. It is designed to provide institutions with a clear overview of their laboratories’ scientific output, offer European catalogs a single entry point for data harvesting, and enable scientists to discover datasets from fields related to their own, thereby facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration.

To achieve this, the catalog incorporates artificial intelligence technologies to improve search capabilities and to supplement the metadata of the harvested datasets.
