DataCite France: a new website to simplify the management of permanent identifiers

Updated at: 04/03/2025

The DataCite France consortium has launched its new website, an essential portal for researchers and institutions wishing to better understand and adopt DOI (Digital Object Identifier) identifiers, massively used in data warehouses and notably Recherche Data Gouv.

The site centralizes invaluable resources, from practical guides to tools facilitating the management of perennial identifiers (PIDs). It also offers news and best practices to support the scientific community in promoting and disseminating their work.

In addition to providing simplified access to information, the DataCite France website relays the latest developments in the consortium, upcoming events and initiatives linked to the identification of digital objects. Deliverables from working groups and specific training courses will gradually be put online, to further support researchers.
