Recherche Data Gouv à l'international

Updated at: 08/07/2025

Internationally, Recherche Data Gouv plays a key role as a national service dedicated to sharing French research data.

It launched the "National Data Services Interest Group" within the Research Data Alliance (RDA), initially scheduled for fall 2024. This group brings together the national data infrastructures of several countries, such as Canada, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, and France. Its main objective is to foster the sharing of experiences and best practices in data management and dissemination, as well as to contribute to the standardization of the description of a "national data service," in accordance with the recommendations of the GORC Interest Group.

Recherche Data Gouv is a major player within the EOSC, with two flagship projects:

FIDELIS : As a trusted national repository, Recherche Data Gouv is participating, via INRAE and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in the creation of a European network of interoperable and secure data repositories. This project, funded by the Horizon Europe program and launched in January 2025, aims to strengthen the European ecosystem for the deposit and opening of research data.
