Verification is automatic and human-assisted. Syntax is controlled by XML schemas (OLAC model, an overlay of qualified Dublin-Core) and by a schematron defined to add repository-specific restrictions and specificities. The metadata for each publication request is reviewed by an administrator. The fields are checked for standardization, completeness, accuracy and consistency. During this check certain fields are aligned with external registries (people, places, languages, subjects, structures). A few additional human checks can be carried out to ensure the quality of the videos uploaded.
