Maps of the RIVAGES Normands 2100 project
Tools for sharing data on coastal groundwater
The objective of the Rivages Normands 2100 research program was to understand the influence of climate change on coastal risks linked to aquifers (flooding by upwelling of aquifers and salinisation of aquifers) in order to identify their socio-economic impacts. The final objective was to carry out, with local actors, the co-construction of scenarios for adapting territories to these risks.
The team projected the risks incurred through simplified maps that allow local actors to recognise their territory on an IGN background on which the risk incurred over time is superimposed. Four themes were analysed according to the level of the groundwater:
- Risks related to buried networks
- Risks related to buildings
- Risks related to agricultural production
- Risks related to traffic networks.
GIS files are also shared on the Recherche Data Gouv Repository.
Rivages Normands 2100 is also one of the winners of the 2025 Open Science Research Data Award in the category ‘Special Mention of the jury’.
