Repository provided moderation

Automated and manual. Submission is done via the Annotare tool. Details are provided here: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/fg/annotare/help/submit_exp.html Additional integrity checks are performed on raw sequencing data (fastq.gz) before an access number is assigned to the dataset.

Viability

Repository belonging to the international ELIXIR network. Data are stored on BioStudies, and raw data are archived with no time limit on the ENA servers.

Notes

Array is a collection of BioStudies. Functional genetic data must be submitted via Array before being indexed in BioStudies. The datasets generally include sample annotations, protocols, analysis data, and raw data. All types of experiments deposited in the repositories are listed here: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/fg/annotare/help/experiment_types.html. MIAME metadata schema ''Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment'' (https://www.fged.org/projects/miame). Accepted file formats listed here: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/fg/annotare/help/accepted_raw_ma_file_formats.html. Please note: for sensitive data where there is a risk of identifying individuals, it is recommended to use the services of the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA). Embargo: the ''private'' status also allows the dataset to be shared with reviewers as part of the peer-review process. Permanent identifier provided: a DOI can be obtained upon request. Size limit: Not specified, but a special submission protocol exists for datasets containing more than 1,000 files (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/fg/annotare/help/file_upload.html#direct).
