Alicia Léon y Barella join the board of data management clusters
Alicia Léon y Barella is joining the board of the data management clusters following the call for applications (pdf, 656 Ko) at the end of 2024. Let's find out what she has planned for her term.
In a few words, who are you?
A resident of Lille since 2021, I am head of the Open Science department of the University of Lille's Joint Documentation Service. In this capacity, I lead the LORD (Lille Open Research Data) data management cluster, which covers around ten institutions in the Lille metropolitan area. Within the Data Workshops network, I co-lead—with Lucie Albaret of the University of Grenoble Alpes—a working group dedicated to the creation of practical factsheets for researchers (GT3).
You are joining the board of data management clusters. What is its purpose? What new spark do you hope to bring to the board?
The board is responsible for coordinating the network, which currently consists of 22 clusters across France, with more to come! I believe there is a strong need to coordinate this network, which is young, dynamic, and eager to discuss common and often complex issues! I would also like to contribute to making it a space for exchange, mutual assistance, and continuous improvement, in interaction with other stakeholders in Recherche Data Gouv, particularly the resource centers and thematic reference centers.
If I am not a member of a data management cluster with the Recherche Data Gouv label, can I participate in the working groups of the data workshop network?
Of course! There are currently six working groups on various topics. They are open to all workshop members, whether they are consolidated, in the planning stages, or in the planning stages. Experts on specific topics can also join us, on a permanent or ad hoc basis, even if they are not members of data workshops!
