Operational Organization

The Recherche Data Gouv management team is composed of 5 permanent members:

• Isabelle Blanc, Director
• Gilles Mathieu, Deputy Director of Operations and Coordination
• Véronique Stoll, Deputy Director of Strategy and Partnerships
• Richard Moreno, Head of the Research Data Platform
• Nadège Joly, Head of Communications

This collegial management team defines the strategy and oversees the actions deployed by the Recherche Data Gouv Platform (UMS) and the federation of centers of expertise (affiliated with higher education institutions or national organizations).

Once a month, the management team meets with the data workshops office to ensure information sharing and overall coordination.

The data platform team comprises staff from five institutions—INRAE, the Universities of Franche-Comté, Grenoble Alpes, Lorraine, and Strasbourg—affiliated with the joint service unit for the national research data platform.

Governance of Recherche Data Gouv

The governance of Recherche Data Gouv is based on four bodies that coordinate and guide its actions:

• A steering committee, which approves the roadmap, policy and budgetary guidelines, ensures the project's coherence, and oversees the implementation of decisions;
• An international scientific council, which guarantees the quality and relevance of Recherche Data Gouv's scientific orientations, and may even propose new ones;
  A members' council, which brings together all the institutions responsible for one or more services within the ecosystem, in a council open to all members, to ensure the sharing of the overall strategy, the coordination of actions, and to measure user satisfaction;
• A user committee (currently being established) represents the needs of the data platform's users by relaying their expectations, difficulties, and suggestions.

This governance model is designed to ensure effective coordination and a clear strategic direction, while integrating the contributions of the various stakeholders in the ecosystem and guaranteeing the scientific quality of the initiatives.
