Huma-Num, an IR* research infrastructure for the Humanities and Social Sciences

Updated at: 19/03/2024

Couperin's Working Group on Data ("GTSO Données") met Hélène Jouguet, head of the "Data and user support" unit at Huma-Num, to find out more about this research infrastructure.

"The Huma-Num IR* is a research infrastructure dedicated to research projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences to develop and preserve their data and productions over the long term in an open science context. Huma-Num is developing an IT infrastructure, digital services and consortia of communities. As part of the Recherche Data Gouv ecosystem, Huma-Num has been approved as a thematic reference centre for the social sciences and humanities, and its NAKALA data repository is recognised as a trusted repository for the social sciences and humanities.

Feedback from other thematic reference centres will follow this publication, as part of the partnership between Recherche Data Gouv and the GTSO Données.
