Inclusive practices in mathematics class, in ULIS collège (special programs for students with disabilities in mainstream secondary schools)
This dataset is the result of a research project entitled "Inclusive practices in mathematics in secondary schools". As part of this project, which aimed to study inclusive professional practices, we focused on students recognized as institutionally disabled (ERIH) attending a special program in a mainstream school (ULIS). These students were learning mathematics both in regular class and in special class.
We worked in a secondary school (collègeA) with a mathematics teacher (PmathA), a special teacher coordinating the ULIS (PulisA) and a support worker for students with disabilities (AESH-coA). In this ULIS program, we followed a student recognized as institutionally disabled (ERIHA) who took mathematics lessons both in the 6th grade class and in the special class. All the sessions of a sequence related to the teaching of fractions in the 6th grade class were filmed with a multisource device (4 cameras, 8 audio recorders), then transcribed in full.
This dataset includes the transcripts of 9 successive sessions (6 in the mathematics class and 3 in the ULIS special class). Each session is completed by an ante and post interview with the teacher. At the end of these nine sessions, four simple and cross-analysis interviews were conducted. These interviews allowed the teachers to select remarkable moments in the films of the sessions and to present them to the researcher (simple analysis interview) or to the second teacher (cross-analysis interview).
