Withdrawing a published dataset from dissemination
Updated at: 08/08/2024
It is not possible to remove a dataset if it has already been published. The curator can however withdraw the dataset (or certain versions of it) from dissemination.
Edit Dataset > Deaccession Dataset
The curator should then fill in a form explaining the reasons for the withdrawal e.g. "Research Ethics Committee request" or "Invalid dataset".
A definitive withdrawn version of the dataset is created and its DOI links to a page of this type:
The citation metadata and the dataset contact remain Accessible even when the data is no longer accessible. |
